Judy Hazbún is a designer graduated of the American College for the Applied Arts in Atlanta. She loves to observe, investigate and to please the women for whom fashion is a pleasure. To Judy fashion is a game that is constantly reinvented.

In 1982 she returned to Colombia and founded her company, which develops a product portfolio that includes several brands, making the only designer in the country with exclusive lines from the mass culture. It is renowned for the versatility and passion she brings to her designs, which qualities were inherited from her mother Hazbún Amalina, the golden needle in Colombia.

She lived a stint in Paris working in the field of commercial collections, an issue that she has always bet: “Fashion is like looking in the mirror, we should all have access to one.” In 2003 receives a scholarship award for a style courses in Milan at the European Institute of Design.

Currently the business operates in a home’s architectural heritage site city of Barranquilla. There operates a boutique and atelier, where she creates her collections Pret a Porter, bridal and gala, made to order.

Her collections are the result of extensive research for the consumer and creative experiments performed, and results in products that highlight the personalities of the women who saw, with designs of special cuts, necklines, backs and original materials combined in unique ways. The color predominates as the main root. The accessories, which are her greatest passion have enabled her to work during the past seven years with craftsmen from different municipalities achieving uniquely complement her designs.

Designer’s creations are sophisticated and versatile, with multicultural identity but always at the forefront of global trends. They are aimed at a younger market women always free-spirited and glamorous. Have been exhibited in multiple settings and she has been involved with fashion week runways in recognized in Colombia, including Cali Exposhow, Colombiamoda, Colombiatex, “Bogotá’s hot” and abroad in Madrid, Dallas and Miami. She also makes social sense catwalks as the Pasarela Rosa Avon.

Judy Hazbún will participate for the fifth time in Cali Exposhow in 2011, after having been in 2001, 2006, 2009 and 2010.
